Where do I begin… I found this charming little barber shop while I was freelancing in Manhattan. Needed to get away from work for a quick buzz cut and stumbled upon one of the most interesting and iconic spot in Big Apple. It was an instant connect because the owner of this place was a hard core car and Porsche enthusiast who raced many many years winning many many awards! The shop is beautifully located on 31st and 5th ave. It is decorated with Frank’s history of racing and really cool artifacts which screams and smells history! His experience and comforting nature makes you forget that you are getting a haircut while chatting about racing and cars. This 70+ man is energetic, full of life and as passionate as a professional racer and as far as I can tell all the first place awards… He is also very good behind the wheel!
Unfortunately this sweet man had to deal with loosing his beloved Porsche to the ruthless Sandy Hurricane. It was totaled and devastating… He did not get a chance to replace it also. But still looking and after every time I visit him you can feel that he wants to do it again!
Anyone around the neighborhood please pay a visit for a haircut. Car enthusiast or not, Frank is one awesome man to know!
Please support him and help him earn the $ to get his car back! All it is a haircut and the amazing conversation comes with it!
